{"id":2399,"date":"2026-06-09T10:25:19","date_gmt":"2026-06-09T08:25:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/leadersoderslatt.se\/?p=2399"},"modified":"2026-06-09T10:25:19","modified_gmt":"2026-06-09T08:25:19","slug":"sustainable-gastronomy-week-sgw-11-16-juni","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/leadersoderslatt.se\/en\/sustainable-gastronomy-week-sgw-11-16-juni\/","title":{"rendered":"Sustainable Gastronomy Week (SGW) June 11-16"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2400 alignleft\" src=\"https:\/\/leadersoderslatt.se\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/27\/2026\/06\/image1-240x300.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"240\" height=\"300\" \/><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Listen to Malm\u00f6's food heroes, opinion makers, visionaries, and food artisans!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>The countdown to Sustainable Gastronomy Week (SGW) 2026 has begun!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Celebrate our food heritage \u2013 with gastronomy as a tool for innovative and sustainable change!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>From June 11-16, Malm\u00f6 Food Council invites with partners<\/strong> to a multitude of industry-focused and public activities. <strong>Come and celebrate sustainable gastronomy <\/strong>and take part in knowledge-intensive and food-related events!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We bring together private and public food actors, local producers, educators, and the public and show how local collaboration, international trends, and research perspectives elevate gastronomy as a tool for a sustainable and innovative transformation of our food system.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In the program, you will find among other things:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>film screening<\/strong>, discussions, and <strong>networking event<\/strong> with Foodtech Innovation Network<\/li>\n<li><strong>seaweed culture<\/strong> at Sibbarps cold bathhouse with T\u00e5ng T\u00e5ng and Tuvessonskan<\/li>\n<li><strong>food lab<\/strong>, collaboration meeting, and market at Smygehuk Lighthouse Hostel<\/li>\n<li><strong>cooking workshop<\/strong> on how Swedish-grown nuts can be an obvious part of the food landscape and gastronomic preparedness<\/li>\n<li><strong>the semifinal<\/strong> for <strong>A goal for Malm\u00f6<\/strong> \u2013 where the city's residents compete to create <strong>Malm\u00f6's new signature dish<\/strong>!<\/li>\n<li>Malm\u00f6 Food Council and <strong>Circular Gastronomy<\/strong> also offers a <strong>knowledge-intensive full day<\/strong> where we explore circularity and planetary gastronomy for both the future and the present<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><em>\u00a0The UN's Food and Agriculture Organization has declared June 18 as Sustainable Gastronomy Day (we're flexing the date to June 15 due to Midsummer!). Malm\u00f6 and S\u00f6dersl\u00e4tt take their place on the global sustainability map as Malm\u00f6 Food Council celebrates Sustainable Gastronomy Week (SGW) for the second time \u2013 a week filled with inspiration, innovation, and the food of the future.
