About the project

The environmental improvements and experiences that arise from the restoration of Ståstorpsån should be utilized and further developed. Partly in the form of knowledge dissemination to affected interests and to the public. But also to make the watercourse and its surrounding environment accessible to the public. Furthermore, to take advantage of the ecosystem services gained from the restoration and to ensure sustainable management and sustainable use. For example, Ståstorpsån constitutes an important reproduction area for sea trout, which in turn is a crucial prerequisite for developing the fishing tourism industry in the area.
