Here we have gathered some simple steps in the process to run a successful Leader project.
Four steps to your project
A project is a process with four different steps. To begin with, there must be a development idea, something that can be refined and summarized into a concrete project and a formal project application. After that, the project, if approved, should be implemented according to the conditions and regulations that exist. Finally, the project should be completed and reported.

Getting started
Everything starts with an idea of how you want to develop your part of Söderslätt. Contact us if you want to brainstorm an idea!
Step 2
Writing an application
When your idea starts to take shape, it's time to apply. The Leader office will assist you in the process towards a successful application.
Step 3
Implement
When you receive a positive response from the board and the Swedish Board of Agriculture, you can get started!
Now it really begins!
Step 4
End
The last step in the projects is the final report and the application for final payment.

Does the project fall within the framework of our strategy?
Can the project clearly contribute to achieving the goals of the strategy?
Gender equality
Is the project's working method and distribution of tasks designed so that women and men have equal opportunities to influence the project's design, participate in the implementation, and benefit from the project's results?
Collaboration
Should the project take place in collaboration between at least two of the sectors: non-profit, private, and public?
Broad benefit
Will the project's expected results be of broad benefit, meaning improvements/development for more than those who carry out the project?
Implementation capacity
Do you have organized co-financing and a plan for how the project could be implemented practically?
Innovative thinking
Should the project be used to create development in various ways – not to support already existing activities?
Non-discrimination
Have you considered openness and non-discrimination? It is an absolute requirement that no one is prevented from influencing the project's design, participating in the implementation, or benefiting from the project's results due to gender, ethnic affiliation, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or age.
