Pre-study Gessiestråket – Vellinge Municipality 2022-1577

About the project

The project is a feasibility study that will serve as a basis for a larger future project focused on developing the area along Gessiebäcken. In a currently inaccessible agricultural landscape, a corridor will be created – Gessiestråket – focusing on the following: sustainability, recreation, transport, stormwater management, nutrient retention, green structure, and increased biodiversity.

The feasibility study will, through its investigative nature, lay the foundation for this larger future project. The feasibility study will identify the possible locally led resources (local population, village associations, organizations, etc.) and their needs/wishes within the future area of Gessiestråket, but will also investigate and map the conditions and any conflicts and difficulties within the various focus areas of sustainability, recreation, transport, stormwater management, nutrient retention, green structure, and biodiversity. The feasibility study will also result in concrete and complete implementation proposals and accompanying implementation plans for a phase (Phase 1) that extends 2-4 years into the future.
