About the project

Participation activities:

With the umbrella project, we see an increase in participation and engagement in the development of rural areas by supporting passionate individuals within community life. Through the project, we can strongly support driven individuals in the non-profit sector in realizing smaller projects that have great significance for a more active countryside. The pandemic has made it difficult to conduct community activities, and there has been a need to adapt to other forms of activities and meetings. We want to support people of all ages with a strong commitment who take initiative and make things happen to revive the temporarily stagnated non-profit sector. With the sub-projects, we want to support the target group in being able to carry out adapted activities. It will be possible for external actors to quickly and easily apply for funding for activities and initiatives within the umbrella project. Support amounts can be applied for based on size, need, and estimated lifespan of the sub-project.

The purpose of the project is to facilitate and create good conditions for small investments, new ideas, and activities, as well as to increase the quality and opportunity to carry out already planned activities. Through Leader Söderslätt's participation, we can strengthen the actors so that their investments can become more sustainable in the long term. Leader Söderslätt's contribution can be a strengthening and supportive link to find activities that enhance operations within community life during pandemic times. The goal is to initiate and support the implementation of good and sustainable events and activities in Söderslätt. We want to support community-active individuals who are passionate about their causes in getting their operations back on track during and after the pandemic. The goal is for at least four sub-projects to be approved by LAG and implemented within the umbrella project.
