About the project

The purpose of the project is to facilitate for the target group which consists of organizations, associations, and tourists who are active in Söderslätt. An innovative smaller project that we want to strengthen in the form of our umbrella project support. The project's aim is to create a better understanding of the role of water and sustainable solutions to the issues associated with water from an ecological perspective. The project targets limnic waters and freshwater on land. The goal has been to initiate 6 sustainable sub-projects.

Subproject

Pre-study – Sustainable water management at Jordberga Resource House & Industrial Village.

The vision of the pre-study is to gather projects that study water from the perspectives of environment, climate, and sustainability, as well as to create a ”showroom” where good examples of measures, activities, and facilities can be showcased. The pre-study is intended to identify and prepare for sustainable water management.

Pre-study Project Ståstorpsån

A pre-study for a water conservation project for Ståstorpsån in Trelleborg Municipality. Strengthen biodiversity and improve the water environment and achieve a more sustainable water management that can ultimately promote blue growth in the target area.

Water reuse (investigation phase)

An investigation into whether there is sufficiently effective and stable water purification technology that we can manage ourselves in a self-installation for passenger cars where stormwater and greywater, after purification, can be used in a wetland.

Living ponds at Tegelberga GK

Clean ponds at Tegelberga approx. 25 ponds, remove fallen and dead trees, clear from underbrush, reeds, etc. The terrestrial animal life will increase and the availability of water for the animals will be significantly improved.

Åmossarna Fishing Center

Promote fishing in Åmossarna in Trelleborg Municipality so that more people have access and opportunity to fish. Clear reeds and establish 10 fishing spots, also making them accessible for people with disabilities. Establish a parking lot.

Pre-study Marine educational activities at Skåre

Invite children and young people to inspiration events at Skåre together with the Water Workshop. Pre-study for children and young people to have the opportunity to discover and explore their marine local environment.
