We have the great pleasure of inviting you to the inauguration of Svaneholm Nature Reserve on Sunday, September 15, 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM. The inauguration is organized by the County Administrative Board of Skåne, Svaneholm Castle Cooperative Association, and Vemmenhög Parish's Antiquities and Local History Association.
Therefore, Svaneholm becomes a nature reserve:
One of the purposes is to secure Svaneholm as an area for recreation and outdoor life. But it is also about protecting, caring for, and restoring natural and cultural environments and preserving biological diversity. The area is home to several bat species, a rich mushroom occurrence, and a population of trees that are several hundred years old. The park environment is in itself a fine example of 19th-century nature romanticism, where the lake is central.
